What would you recommend for amd64? Gigabyte or Asus?
whichone of those two? Or maybe there's sth better?
any feedback appreciated

I always build with Asus, but Gigabyte has a fairly decent rep too. I think Asus' support is a bit better though, such as for drivers.

yes, you'r right Polaris. I've always used asus mobos so far.
k7v333 and a7n8x-deluxe (current system with Athlon 2,5 and 2x512ram which works flawlessly) - my last two.

But I am not sure if I should go with PCI-E mobos. I don;t need powerfull graphics and don't want to loose PCI bandwidth on video.

What mobos guys do you use with amd64? Which one gives the best performance 4 audio?
