Gibsun

My friend just bought a new SG from Long and Mcquade. The logo on the headstock and the guitar case looks like Gibsun (a "U" instead of an "O"). I've heard that Gibsun's are Chinese knock offs. Is that true? I can't believe a music store would get a knock off from the manufacturer..... BTW it sounds and plays and looks great - needs a setup though....

The chinese don't respect any copyright except their own so i wouldn't be surprised. and stores want to make money so.....

I googled "gibsun guitar" and got a lot of hits. "They're all over the internet/eBay" is what I read. Too bad. I've got a GibsOn (see avatar) and it's a fine axe.
