SCENE: Open blues jam. Two songs. You have a Les Paul, a 335, a Strat and a Tele. Amp of your choice. One stomp of your choice.
Jam 1 is a medium tempo Major shuffle. Jam 2 is a slow Minor 12 bar.
For each: Which guitar would you grab? What amp would you use? And your one stomp for each?
No fighting

Strat, tweed vibrolux, king of tone OD pedal. That should cover all bases for me.
:D

I've kinda been there before....

Give me the 335, Princeton Reverb and a tube screamer.

I have all of these. In a live setting, the Strat. It covers a lot of tonal ground and IT STAYS IN TUNE. In all fairness, the 335 stays in tune but thats mine

Me, too. I put lockers on

I was jamming with my friends yesterday afternoon. As I thought, when I posted this "hypothetical" that there is no real answer. You can have a '59 'Burst, '61 Strat, or a Silvertone from a Sears catalogue. The joy is in the music.

Open blooze jam?

This must be a trick question - I trade the guitar for a gun and the amp for a bullet and kill myself, only to find I'm already dead and stuck in one of Dante's circles of hell!

Any of those would work fine. Any amp would as well.

The question is pretty funny. The guitar is irrelevant to the song. It is whatever you have, that will do. The old guys made what they had work.

I grab whatever I feel like at the moment - they are just different pallets to paint with - not different paint.
