I like the sampling capabilities of the GFX-8 but have heard the amp sims of the J-station are better...mainly using as a protable headpone amp for when I am out of town working but the effects are a great bonus...and with both so cheap on the net I cant really lose with either. Just wondering if anyone has tried both and which they would rather use....I will do some direct line recording as well since micing isnt an option atm(direct through mixer to comp using cakewalk home studio)
can't comment on the GFX8, but I am quite content with my J. Like most people, I much prefer a real amp, but there are times and places where a little unit like the J with a pair of headphones is a great addition, especially travelling, which I have to do alot of.
