what do you guys think of this...
I take my usb maudio ekey "midi controller"(100$) and plug it in to my comp...(plug and play), then i go and open up my sony acid home studio thing (30$) go to the piano roll section. Set it up so i can play my "keyboard" and set the latency low so it comes though my monitors(300$ rockits)
Then i open my audio editing program(GT3pro) turn on my mic and position it right infront of one of my monitors and record a new track with me playing my "keyboard" over my original track...
it works pretty good (i assume with a better mic than a 990 it would be alot better) and the extra track with all the original mix kinda adds some depth like a harmonizer (i think)...
give it a try (I really dont care to learn the ins and outs of midi and cant afford a piano)
