Getting the Digi002 to work with the motu 896

I am having problems getting signal from the motu 896 when it is lightpiped to the 002. I can't get signal. I am temporarily using a presonus firestation but I need to use the preamps of the motu. Help.

Yes. In software I had each channel comming in and going out while I was tracking. I couldn't get any signal at all.
 
The MOTU adat outputs don't mirror the inputs. It's a pain in the ass, but what you have to do is use the MOTU Cuemix DSP to assign the ins to the outputs in a rather non intutive way. hopefully you are a little familiar with the cue mix functions. example. in mix 1 of cuemix you solo 2 of the inputs you want to use - like analog input 1 and 2- pan the channels hard left and right, set the output of mix 1 to be ADAT channels 1 and 2. Then on mix 2 solo 2 other channels, pan them hard left and right, and set the output of mix 2 to be ADAT 3 and 4. Then the next 2 pairs the same way. This maxes out your cuemix outputs! Really bites if you want to use the cue mix to set up headphone mixes or something!

I have used my 828 as a 8 channel converter this way. Should be exatcly the same with the 896.
