getting started

Hey There ,
New here and first post.
I have a few very basic questions?.
I think I can figure out how to optimize my computer and figure out how to use the program from this forum and You tube videos.
But my ?s are more basic then that.
I'm confused on what I need as far as a computer to make this work.
I have a lap top with windows xp on it.
I have pro tools le7 with Mbox 2 USB.
Im confused if my set up will work ok.
Do I need some kind of external hard drive and if so what?
should I be ok with my set up to at least get started with this?
sorry if this seems like a stupid question to some but I'm not that good with computers as far as what I need.

I am not so good with computers either.

Set up for Pro Tools can be a pain in the arse, but once you get it running properly you will be happy.

I don't think you need an external hard drive but it is certainly a good idea to have one in order to back up your files.

Somebody who knows way more than I do will probably answer your question within the next day or so.
