well gang I have been here putting two cents in and taking more out for the last 3-4 months now. For those who have posted questions and those who answered I say thank you. To the big Dragon, hats off. I came here clueless with hopes, much like many. I have put together a studio over here now and expect divorce to follow due to time spent. Just a minor inventory list to accompany my thank you.

Odds are I will be hounding you dudes tenfold now. but as it stands thats for the advice either directly or to each other.

Gimme some info on the VS-880. Do you love it or what? My friends at WZZO tell me it is the sh*t. Do the files take up too much space or can you save them externally? Did you ever work with 1680?

Even, thanks for the praise...and if your wife ever finds out you can do the same thing with the 880 and the Celeron/Layla, she might just give you that divorce!

Brian, so far this 880 is the sweetest machine I have ever used. I have not had a hint of space problems, but I have the two gig HD. I am still way at the beginning of the learning part with this. A manual would have been most cosmopolitan.. but I prolly would ignor it anyway. WWW.rolandus.com has tons of manuals ready for the download. No fear, I will keep you posted.

Sidenote, Mellie sat me down as if I was in trouble (you know the look) and said she would only leave me if I did NOT pursue recording. I was shocked, touched and.. then realized it is two weeks befor christmas.
