Getting rid of well echo help

Hello I am in need of some help....

The room I record in is medium sized...below there is a picture of it..I record Rap vocals n on alot of my song si like to get a bit louder so i can use my voice n emphasize it more...my problem is those damn well echos...i cant build a booth n i read somewhere about maybe putting the mic in the corner n putting blankets up on the two walls or sometin...or is there like any eq i can cut to get rid of them,or a plugin...its really killing me because when i try n compress it brings out the echos alot n makes my voice sound like crap....any help would be appreciated...i used to use a dynamic mic which was nice because it wouldnt get wall echo cause it just picked up what was coming directly from the one side of it but now with a condensor it picks up the echos....i dont have any problem with fans or anything either its just the wall echo

Set up your mic in a clothes closet, so that when you're singing, you are facing the closet and the mic is sticking a few inches beyond the clothes.

well as of right now i wont be able to have access to a clothes closet for maybe a couple of months....i do have a smaller storage type closet in this room that i might be able to scrap otu stuff n come up wit an idea but if that dont work does anyone else have any ideas

It won't fix the problem, but what will probably help is setting the mic up so there are no perpindicular walls. Set it so that the angle from the mic to each wall is different.

Like I said it won't fix the problem, but it will definetly cut down the reflections your picking up.

Don't be afraid to just through some blankets, comforters, towel etc. around the room too. They will help eat up some of the reflections.

Ultimately, you want a properly designed vocal booth, but these will at least help a little.
