Getting pop sound while tracking in Reaper

I`m getting a bad pop sound in Reaper when recording guitar in random spots...they are permanent because i listen over and its in the same spot on the time line...Reaper/Presonus USB/Win 7/Vox VT 30 and I have my Mic going thru a Boss VE-20 Vocal performer...Anyone? Thanks..
 
You're using the Boss unit for your guitar? Pops in recording usually come from a CPU problem - are you running any plug-ins while recording?

my tracks are dry and I get the pops still..brand new WIN7 i7 quad core..
 
I assume you have made sure you have the latest drivers for the PreSonus. And you have every non-recording program that might be running in the background off. Maybe disconnect from the internet?
Check your CPU usage while recording, see if there's a spike when you get the pop.
