Hi, I set up my new Lexicon Omega recording interface and installed the cubase le 4 on my acer dual core processor laptop which uses the Vista operating system.

I can tell that I'm getting a signal on the Lexicon unit and that my computer is recognizing the Lexicon unit ( by looking in the manage device menu on Vista).

When I open up the cubase and set up a project ( using default setting) and then add a track (making sure the correct input is selected on the lexicon unit), and hit record on the transport control I can see that program is trying to record but I'm getting no sound to the track I'm recording on.

Is my problem due to not setting up the recording bus right?

Thank you for pointing me in the right direction.

Go to the devices menu in cubase, then (i think) device setup.

In here you will want to select the lexicon audio driver (Probably Omega ASIO, or something like that)

This will allow you to then select which of the Omega's input you want to record.

what if

what if that doesn't help? I've tried using every possible bus and port configuration and still can't record the right side...left is fine or it could be the right depending on how the busses are set, but never both at once...I thought maybe if I directed the dead side to another track ( audio 1/stereo Left output, audio 2/stereo right) I've been troubleshooting for days

perplexed, aggravated...utterly defeated, please help.
