Hey gang. I recorded this one the other day and I thought I'd post the rough mix. It's by no means finished; there's no reverb and some levels are off. I also "squashed" this mixdown a bit.

Thanks for your time. Any comments welcome, as always.

Advice on Your Mix

I'm not the most knowledgable on this board by any means, but it definitely needs some space. I think the drums would benefit from this mostly as they sound a little confined. Make the drums sound bigger and pull the lead guitar back a bit. When you panned the lead to the center it was a little overbearing. I like the way that the tune flowed. Keep up the good work.

BTW - When you said that you squashed it, how much?

Othere than some levels being off, this sounds like a great start. You definitely need to bring a few things down, to open the mix up a bit. But the tune is cool. Great feel to it.

Good musical ideas and gtr playing. When the guitars all get balanced out it's gonna be great. Nice acoustic sound.

I agree with the lead being too loud; this is really only a rough mix and I was just anxious to show it to people. I'll consider these suggestions and post a better mix.

Silentman - I squashed it slightly to make it more listenable to people who are used to really loud commercial CDs. Unfortunately it's necessary to do this so people won't automatically judge the recording quality by its volume.

Here's the final mix if anyone on earth still wants to listen

It's also on my NWR page!

I don't like anything that tells me to "get out of bed" but I'm liking this song :p

Man it sounds great on my system right now (I'm listening to the new mix) Love the speed up on the chorus & the harmonies before that.

Instruments soung great. Maybe it's just me & my bad system, but I still say raise the acoustic just a tad, and drop the electric just a tad & see how it sounds.

Good tune man. Nice guitar squeal at 2:06
