Hello, I'm new at recording myself at home (practicing for a few month now) today I decided to rerecord an old song I "wrote" few month ago.
and I'm not fully satisfied with the final result, I don't think the guitar fit very well, I don't like my guitar tone.
the guitars are not a lot processed, only the basic stuff:
- Amplitube 3 for the amp simulation (5150 with the T2 cab)
- EQ (high and low pass filter + reducing bad frequencies)
- compression (4:1 fast attack and release)
And I've got a glitch around 28/29 seconds, I don't know how I did that...
EDIT: there is 3 of them now, at 00:21, 00:23 and 00:28
PS: I didn't quantized or modified the audio tracks at all and I know I'm playing a little bit off tempo
PPS: maybe it's metalcore, or something like that, in fact I'm a little bad at composing song, this was a joke made in a few minutes, I just kept the 2 first riffs because the rest is... huh... not very good, it was wrote and recorded when I was using Studio One for the first time, but I decided to rerecord this song today, just to practice and see my improvements.
EDIT: I think I just find why the guitar tracks on amplitube sounded like shit, I just modified how the two tracks were panned in amplitube, the sound seems to be little bit clearer now but I still don't like the way it sounds, the drum kit sounds very compressed, the lack of precision at the beggining when I play chords)
