Just wondering...I want to get some effect pedals for my guitar, a delay, maybe distortion, wawa...and maybe more along the line. What I'm wondering is if it's a better idea to build up a collection from an assortment of pedals, or go for one of those boss compilation effect pedal thing... I'm wondering for both the actually quality and whether it could save me any money.

For versatility, flexibility, and tone, seperate pedals are better.

But I recorded a bunch of music using a $60 Digitech RP50, and the results were pretty good.

so then what would you reccomend for, say, a good delay pedal. what would be the most cost effective?

I don't know enough about them. You'd probably get better answers posting in the Guitar forum.

yeah, the guitar forum would be good.

but while i'm here - personally i'd go for seperate pedals. SO much more versatile. everything you want to be able to control is at your feet or has it's own knob. no menus or messing around.

its more expensive though...

*shrugs*
