That's maybe Soupiraille :D I think he downloads some mixes to listen to and he's from France.

By the way it's not Fab who's gonna listen to the 2800 tracks ... it's the puremix team ... who ever that might be :O

haha oh well!

listen to the 2800 tracks ...

If the result is due on the 21st June....the must listen to 133 tracks per day!

If they work 24/7 that means an average of 5 tracks per hour.

it's almost mission impossible unless a committed and dedicated team works hard! :spank:

GG

I don't think they will listen to all the 2800 ... in a quick listen(provided the guys have good ears) it's very easy to spot the mediocre mixes, for example most have loose bass, flabby kick, uncontrolled dynamics(specially the vox) hyped high ends, too much reverb and fx, lots of noises and resonances in the mix , so then already you can shave 2600 from the list just by a quick listen, ... then they can do the same for the 200 , until they get like 50, THENNNN they can listen one by one to pick the top 16 :D

That's the big question though, is the puremix team a group of engineering experts ? or just secretaries, moderators, SAE students, video editors, and beginners that just volunteer to give a help ... THEN there would be a big problem.

It would be nice if they posted at least the top 100 instead of just the winners. Give some other folks at least a little recognition out of so many entries.

Does anyone know where we can find the winners from the last contest?

This are the winners for the previous contest they did in spain, sponsored by avid and puremix

Audiodays palmares ES

They did the same contest in france but I don't find the winners

Has anyone noticed they have had their mix downloaded in France? This makes me think/hope that Fab has downloaded my mix! (I submitted in the evening of June 1st)

Yeah that was probably me. I think I downloaded it. Fab and his team are in NYC, it couldn't be them.
Nice mix. Good luck.

With 37 listens and only 3 likes and no comments, its pretty easy to figure out that I'll probably not win, but I hope people feel free to comment even if its not all "awesome mix man" lol

I think his name was "neofat"; a search for this name in souncloud should bring you to him. The song was "The ship and the storm" by Will Knox. The winner did a GREAT work, he 200% deserved the 1st place.

Winners are always in the shadow...

Did you mix for the love of mixing or for the recognition of people ?

There are many mixes that suck ass who have thousands of listens and people commenting ... what does it mean ? nothing significant
