I just sent the following mail to Golden Age Project :
"Hi, I recently bought a pre-73 and a comp 54 from someone used, very in love with the pre-73 sound, but the comp 54 seems to have an issue, even with the makeup gain at maximum i can hardly match de volume of the bypassed signal, it does compress the signal, but it comes out very quiet and if i try to raise the makeup gain too much, it starts to clip internally, also, when I engage the in/out button, the volume drops terribly, only sounds usuable are in bypass mode

Please is this an easy fix ? how much will it cost me ? I have a small studio but was about to record a project, I was really hoping for a quick fix in case you know what the problem is, would i need to bring it back for repair at a dealer ? any help is much appreciated, thank you for making a great product, I'm confident that it will sound amazing when it's cured."
