...Imagine ten or twenty years in future... what PC's look like ? What can they do ?    :D :)

Unlimited VSTi's and Tracks
Latency .... 0,000000001 pico sec.
256bits/1024kHz audio
100 Terrabit Lan Connection
Lindows XP

Wow!!!
I can't wait

:D

In ten years, the average household computer will have processing power the equivalent of a bumble bee.

It sure would be nice
Imagine a 2GHz MAC...........
Nah...
It could be possible if MAC switched to AMD or Intel.....

Just kidding:D

Bio qubit computers will revolutionize computing within 15 years. Your processor upgrade may come in a vial in twenty years.
Memory and processing will be indistinguishable, storage will be cellular.

I would hope that by then we'll be up to Star Trek standards...i.e. replication abilities. Holodeck.

The whole bio angle is really cool, except for if you download your head into a machine, and then it gets a virus...what happens then?...you run your head through norton?

integrating oneself with the computer...It is a very plausible concept. I thought that was what you were referring to.

It'd be a lot easier I think to transfer thoughts directly via usb say, and cut out the middleman, otherwise known as the keyboard.

That combined with nanotechnology promises to be the greatest miracle and threat to all life this planet has ever known.

nanotechnology

The possibilities are endless.....and frightening.

NICE LINKS JAKE !!!
Thank's. I'm wondering many things now... :D

Maybe I should wait a "bit" until I upgrade my computer. Who knows was even two years might bring!

I believe we have reached the limits of the current hardware in a sense. The real limiting factor is software design. Our hardware is already so mind bogglingly fast the software can't nearly take advantage of the newest designs.

Don't start saving for a quantum computer just yet, were talking 15 to 25 years before it hits the consumer market in any form.

Maybe 10 years for RAM or memory designs.
