full band demos

First, I must apologize for the fact that these are not home recorded; rather, they were recorded at a small professional studio. They are full-band treatments of songs that I previously recorded acoustically at home. There are intended for use as demos.

So, if you will forgive me -- or even if you won't -- I would be grateful for any and all comments about the recordings!

Pretty cool man. I think "Allergic To My Love" is a bit tubby in the low mids, but nothing unmanageable. "I Hate You Spring" was my favorite. - Nice work.

Thanks Chris. These demos were recorded, mixed and mastered all in about 12 hours in order to try to keep to a reasonable demo budget. I think you are right about Allergic; actually I think it's just too much bass guitar -- after the first mix I asked the engineer to tweak up the bass in that song a little and he went too far, which I didn't notice until later.

It was really interesting to work with this guy after i had had some experience with home recording. One thing he did that suprised me was the extent to which he used specialty plug-ins that he liked. Another was using CDs that he liked side-by-side, so to speak as references for adjusting the overall sound.
