Would you have a rough idea on shipping?

One guy had been interested before, and to his particular zip code shipping was gonna run like 35 bucks or so. He ended up losing interest (which is why I am posting here now). I can check out shipping if you give me a zipcode. I wwould be shipping it in an old hard case I won't miss so you even get a free case.

*bump*
Nobody interested in this? I'm willing to take $140 SHIPPED. You can barely buy an Epiphone for that let alone a set neck. This would be a great backup guitar and second axe for someone who wants an SG style guitar to add to their arsenal.

I can't find anything about this on the Internet, the only Maxtone (I think that's what it says on the headstock) is recently made and from Taiwan. Links anyone?

Actually, I'd love to have a guitar like this...just extremely short on cash. (tax time). Could be the reason others haven't chimed in also.

If you get to the point where you'd be willing to trade, we could do some talking. But if you need the cash...as so many of us do...then so be it. Good luck! Looks like a nice axe.

Yes, its Maxtone and from what I understand, it was made by the parent company Fernandes which would make it japanese, I suppose.
One of the other names Fernandes made guitars under was "Burny" and I own one of these as well. I've had that one for 6 years and I would say its competition with the upper level Epiphones. Well worth the $600 retail it had on it 6 years ago, even though I traded a bunch of stuff for it rather than buying.
I don't know why Fernandes made guitars under different names, other than the fact Burny and Maxtone were budget lines, for seperate companies that enlisted Fernandes to make them, much like Samick makes lots of budget guitars for other companies. *shrug*
