Fruity Loops Piano Roll question?

This is very hard for me to explain

Is there a way that you can do "Realtime Recording". For instance.....as the line is moving in Piano Roll, can you like hit a key on the piano as it is playing so that it will stick in the spot in which the line is at? Its seems like this would make it very easy to make melodies. Any help will be appreciated.

In FL 6 push the right-most button in the transport bar --- the one next to the tempo --- and begin playing your keyboard. Then when you've finished playing your keyboard press the button again. This will stop the recording process.
