Hah, yep--that's the one I found after you suggested looking there.

Thank God! I finally figured out the problem!

All I had to do was disable my wireless internet adapter...
WHEW!

Which.. that brought on a new problem. Every time I disabled it, my computer froze (researched to find out others have had the same problem). Restarted probably 5 times. Then found out how to disable it through the device manager with no freeze.

And now.. finally.. a working Pro Tools. I'm so happy.

if disabling your wireless adapter freezes your pc, you may find that your drivers aren't the right ones, or there's a problem with the device.......or something?!lol

No clue. I'll have to investigigigigate.

I did see that the driver I had (that came WITH the PCI adapter) was a later version than the latest version Linksys had on their actual site (WTH???!?!!)...

and I reverted to their latest one (on the official site) and now no more freezes
And the other night, I noticed that the original driver I had was for a freakin Netgear piece of hardware.. gay.
