Who can tell me what frequency range the male voice typically has? Let me clarify, I've got a drywalled 3.5' x 5' x 8' vocal booth. Mainly it will be just me doing vocals, I'm a baritone/low tenor and I'm wondering what would be the best absorption material would be. I've read these small rooms tend to be bassy if you just use the standard acoustic foam? Would the 703 be more appropriate for voice only? Or is the foam fine? Should I cover the entire surfaces of the booth? Ceiling? What for the floor? Any input is greatly appreciated!

Fundamental tones for a bass will be down to 80 Hz, tenor more like 180 Hz, with the tenor high notes around 800 Hz.

Excellent link APL. As low as 80Hz huh? So how many (and how big) bass traps would I need in a space that size? In your opinion?

You could put one of Ethan's mini-traps kinda cockeyed in a ceiling-wall corner, or build up 12~18" of fiberglass, rigid or fluffy, in the ceiling with some kind of open cover like burlap.
