Hey,

Better than Tonos, cause it's free and you can use your own recording software. Here's the link:

http://www.nowrecording.com

It's really small and there's not many musicians, but things change.

Also if you live in Kentucky give me a shout, and no I'm not into Country.

Yes Kentucky,

In a god-awful place called Liberty, lives a Hard Rock Recording Artist just recently released from his record label. Planning on staging a comeback of sorts on his (or my) own.

Kinda looking for others to collaborate with...

For more info, and a link to a demo CD I have released on my own(not finished with yet). Send me an email at:

It's soo small it's hard to find on most maps, how I got here is too long of a story to get into. If you want to know where Liberty is...

Look South of Lexington and North of Somerset. Lexington is about 70 miles away and Somerset is about 35 miles away. Instead of Liberty it should be called Timbucktoo!

This looks cool. I've looked at the Rocket Network thing before but that costs money to join up. I had never heard of Tonos, but at a quick glance just now it looks like you're limited to an 8-track recorder. I always thought a free site would be a good idea.

One thing I think that could improve it would be to allow stereo files. I know that conserving disk space is probably a priority, but I can see a few good reasons for stereo:
1. Some keyboard sounds incorporate their stereo effects as part of the sound. Uploading that as a mono file would lose something.
2. Uploading an entire drum mix as a mono track would lose something.
3. Lets say originator of the project is looking for someone to add a guitar track. He could put the mix on the left side of the stereo and a rough guitar track on the right side just to give the auditioner some idea of what he wanted there. Then the auditioner could turn down the rough guitar and record the real guitar.
4. With stereo files, when the project was complete, the originator could post the final mixed result to the nowrecording.com site instead of having to post it on mp3.com or something. (Although posting it to mp3.com might be better in order to save disk space.)

Anyway looks like fun. Hope more projects get uploaded.
