We are Smash Yo Records Charity Studio - the world's only charity studio and we provide free studio services like mixing, mastering, audio post production, radio broadcast, a&r/label placement and promo for unsigned struggling artists and bands that don't sell their music.

Even if this guy is legit ( not saying he is or isn't), just the fact that he has one post, and hasn't come back to even read, let alone answer any of the questions asked, tells me that this is spam 100%. Thread should be deleted.
 
I don't know guys. Has anyone visited the website? Seems kinda legit, at least how they speak of what they do. Though there has to be a catch somewhere...

Just because OP hasn't been back to respond, does not mean they are not legit.

I have doubts myself, but go to the page before throwing out first order judgements.

Whether or not they actually have something good to offer, well.....

There is no spam in offering free services. As long as there is not a catch.

Legit or not isn't the question for me. A drive by spam thread like this isn't fair to the regulars here who never spam. I don't see Massive starting threads offering his services, and we all know he's legit. So, I don't think it's fair that someone can just drive by and drop off without contributing anything to the site. At least move it to the Marketing forum. Just my opinion. I'll sleep well tonight either way. :)

I'm not saying anything either way. Members here who offer their professional services, do not do it for free. They only put links in their sig. But give advice to members here without charging.

Spam is only spam, if it is selling something. I understand the concern -if in fact that this is BS. But-many here offer to mix or help out other members, without being called spammers. I do it all the time. Am I a spammer for offering to mix a song for free?

Again, I have no confidence in these guys, nor do I care. But, to ban them as spammers, is not appropriate at this point.

It is however out of typical context as to what this forum is about. Whether that is a violation of TOS or not, is for member opinion to decide. Or Admin.

Jimmy, I'm not trying to be mean and get someone banned for no reason. But you're missing my point. You're not a spammer for offering to mix for free, but you CONTRIBUTE to the site, you are part of the community. You can't compare tha tto someone who probably copied and pasted the same message to every music site he was able to find, only has one post and hasn't even been back to answer any questions and has contributed absolutely nothing to the site........ever. How can you not see that it's completely different from you, me, Greg, or Miroslav or any other regular here offering to help someone out.

And just to be clear, I never suggested banning him/her/them/it. I just suggested to move the thread or delete the thread. Banning's pretty drastic and I only condone it in rare cases, this ain't one of them.

Anyway, like I said, I'm good either way. I just don't think it's cool to drive by, drop off, and fuck off, free or not. :cool:

My name is James Strickler. User name jimmys69. I am a moderator for this forum.

It seems a bit uncomfortable to see you post your production services on the site. Even though you guys seem to have good intentions, this site is base upon feedback and helping each other out.

The fact that you have not even returned to look at your post here, leads me to believe that you have just copied/pasted to any site you could find.

If you guys are for real, I highly suggest that you follow through with your networking and respond to the posts that you opened. Otherwise you are quickly going to be considered spammers.

I do not think this is what you wish, but you need to participate in forums like HR, if you expect to get any kind of respect from members here.

There are many professional studio owners who frequent this site, and many that do exactly what you say you do-just because we wish to help out artists. This includes me. You just come across as 'FAKE' because you flew by with a post, and never returned.

I will delete the post if I do not hear back from you in the next few days.

I hope you guys are sincere. I like the fact that you are trying to help out artists/musicians. If in fact, you are true to your devotion, then spend time here giving advice. Don't just throw out free services blindly...
