It has mic inputs, built in effects, and Musicians Friend has it for half off at $100.00. Seems like a lot of bang for the buck.

Has anyone used one, and is it any good?

It doesn't have phantom power, and that's something to consider. It might be more complex than a mini-mixer should be. I've seen new Mackie 1202vlz's for $329. online. They are a well-known, established product that is easy to use. The Fostex does have effects and that's a bonus.

Yeah Wide Awake,

I think I will take one of my mics and a set of phones to Sam Ash this weekend and check it out. They have to meet Musicians Friend's prices, and if I buy at Sammy's no shiping costs!

If it's any good, at $100.00 it's a steal, but my hopes are not to high. I would most likely use it as a dedicated mic procesor. I'm hoping to eek a little higher performance out of my AKG dynamics. In the end I'll probably have to breakdown and get better mics.

I'll let you know what happens.
