Fostex VF160EX won't direct record

I had just completed doing a DIR REC TRK of a vocal and went back to do the second harmony part, pressed the "STORE" button by mistake, press "EXIT" and then tried to record by pressing the DIR REC TRK button. It failed to turn red and nothing I do seems to make it come back on. The BUSS REC TRK lights up red when I press it but not the DIR REC TRK. Any advice will be appreciated.
