I did a search on the forum but I couldn't find that answer I was looking for. Can anyone direct me to the page in the manual for the VF160 that explains virtual tracks and how use them on the machine.

I just looked over the index. It doesn't mention it. I can't recall reading it either, although it has been a couple of years.

The virtual tracks are 17-24, to store tracks you don't use (original tracks without effects for example).

if they're the same as on the vf-08, you can perform a "Track Exchange" to swap tracks between "real" and "virtual" tracks. i.e., I say I record guitar take 1 onto track 3, for example. I don't want to erase it yet, but I want to redo the guitar...I could do a track exchange with track 17, or whatever and now whatever was on virtual track 17 is now on track 3, and what was on 3 is on 17. Now I re-record the guitar on track 3.
