Hi,

Has anyone used the ADAT interface to add eight more tracks in to their VF160?

What worked for you and what didn't.

I record bands live and sometimes eight isn't enough.

Thanks,

Hairy Larry

I use a Fostex VC-8 and a also a Behringer ADA8000 to bring in 8 more channels (I have 2 VF16's)...

Both of them work awesome!

:)

Thanks

Thanks, I think I'll try the ADA8000 when I can afford it.

Paj, do you still spend time over at VF16.com?

I cant get to at work so I havent been there for a long time. :(

Yes---and the Fostex (Mercuryboard) forum. BTW, if you aren't already aware of it, use the link below and read the "Phantom Foibles" section of the SOS review of the DPS-II. It's valuable information about the rear-panel balanced jacks.

I end up playing around with the DPS because of the impedence matching control. I like the way it tightens up or softens the response of mics within each preset. If you wanted to just add two channels to the VF, at $250 the DPS-II is very hard to beat.

Later,
