this is a song i did a while back, never did much with it, cracked it open in alsihad the other day and decided to "do something" with it.

forget i am here

just a simple song, no vocals (yet). drums, guitar, bass, mixed with a spot of limiting and a touch of eq.

listen, comment, or not. that's entirely up to you of course.

crap i keep forgetting... more details.

drums: clavia ddrum4
guitar: gibson sg standard
amp: marshall jcm2000, hot plate to mic pre (presonus) to digi002r, then to guitar rig (just for the amp impulse responses)
bass: washburn acoustic/elec 4-string

rig: apple g5 dual 2gighz, alsihad 002r w/ command|8 surface.

You have a really fat bass sound going here. Lots of thump and definition.
Great tone to the drums, and programmed well.
Guitars are nicely effected/gain is nice. Overall great job on the mix.

This screams for vocals - any plans to add some in the future?

:D  :D

thank you!

yeah, that is the washburn acoustic/electric plugged into a presonus, then i brought it into guitar rig 2 to add the cabinet/mic characteristics. i shelved off the low end around 100hz and shelved off the high frequencies, and bumped up the low-mids. i added just a touch of compression.

i worked with the gain on the guitars for a while... finally realizing "less is more" on this.

the drums actually weren't programmed. i played them. the clavia ddrum4 system is a drum kit system. its a very cool system, too bad its pretty much discontinued. oh well.

anyway, yes, it does scream for vocals, and yes, there will be some added at some point.

i'm not much of a singer, but my better half is :)

thanks for listening and i really appreciate the feedback :)
