I have studied classical piano when I was a kid but I always hated music sheet and due to this I never managed to learn it well. Turns out that recently I had to transpose some of my compositions to sheet for copyright purposes and I wanted an easy way to do that. Being a Fruity Loops user the straight way would be to export it to MIDI format and then find some sheet program that could make the magic.
Well, this program is the MuseScore, a freeware AWESOME tool that easily converts your midi file into a nicely done music sheet ready-to-go.
A couple tips:
1) When in Fruity Loops, unless that you are going to prepare a complex arrangement music sheet, you will want to simplify your stuff. Remove all the unnecessary tracks leaving only two: the basic chords and the melody line because you only need this for copyright registering.
2) Still in Fruity Loops your midi file won't work unless you first go to 'Tools >> Macros >> Prepare for midi' BEFORE to export to midi format
3) At MuseScore, if you have font issues when printing directly to PDF format you will want to go to the PDF preferences and UNCHECK the option "Rely on system fonts only; do not use document fonts".
Download for free the MuseScore 1.3 here http://musescore.org/
Sorry if this is old news. I just wanted to share it with you.
