Last weekend I had began to get that dreaded message saying that i could not save anymore data to the hard drive because they are full. WIth over 100GB free, that was obviousely wrong. I received this error after about 1 sec of recording. I did a search on this forum and I went through every step that people recommended but nothing worked.

I asked a friend and he mentioned the video card could be the result. So I went to NVidia's website and downloaded the newest detonator drives and now everything works like charm.

So if you have this problem, trying checking your video card drivers.

Good catch, buddy :)

BTW, what version of NVidia do you use? I used to have RivaTNT2 32MB on my MIDI machine, but never have this issue before :) Now I'm using GForce4 64MB in it, and Matrox G400 dual head on my primary DAW.

When does the problem happen? It use to happen to me when trying to use Waves Renaissance plugins. The advice from Cakewalk was to reinstall the Waves bundle. I just uninstalled them and never reinstalled. The problem hasn't happened since.

I have the NVidia 5900 Overclocked, it is an excellant gaming card. The error occurred after I did a fresh install of XP. Windows recognized the graphics card fine, but it wasn't the current driver. Because my display was working through all my problems with Sonar, it never occurred to me. But after I installed the newest drivers off of NVidia's website, everything was great.
