Does anyone own or use this pre? I'm looking mighty hard at this one but have not made any decisions about a pre yet.

But I haven't heard anybody raving about it. Of course, that doesn't mean it isn't good or even great.
I always liked Meeks when I heard them, so after talking with people who owned them and reading several very positive reviews, I bought the Meek VC1Q, and I'm glad I did. Many people here have the Mindprint Envoice, and they all seem to love it.
Rip Rowan also liked the ART Pro Channel and the Presonus VXP (which I think Bruce Blue Bear has used quite a bit).

I have the Focusrite Penta, which has the same preamp. The preamp is really clean. For almost all sources it is my pre of choice (I also have the Meek Mq3 and the Presonus BlueTube).
I also think the opto compressor on the Voice master is similar to the one on the Penta, and I like the Penta's compressor.
