So I went to Guitar Center today just to shop around and look at stuff. I was offered help from a cool guy, who didnt run over and look at me sideways for asking questions about gear. I even tested him asking about a behringer compressor. He was honest, I was very surprised. He pointed me in the direction of a Focusright mh427. Does anyone know about it? It is supposed to be a pretty quiet pre with phantom and compression with memory presets. And the list for it was about $390.00. Is it any good? He also showed me a Trident dual mic pre for about $1400.00. Any info on either piece would be great.
