Floyd Anyone?

Well I took a break from writing originals and recorded (well sort of) another cover.

I robbed a Comfortably Numb midi file of the net and messed with it. Replaced the guitars with my own...... and added vocals. Actually came out ok.....and not TOO midish haha

Kind of a cross between the live and studio versions

if ya get bored check it out. Anyone want to help out with the midi stuff?? I have no clue when it comes to midi.

That's pretty awesome, man. Nice voice and you got the guitars. You're a little fflat on the first brdge..."There is no pain..." and "You are only coming through in waves..."

I used to work with MIDI all the time. In fact, it's only been about a year that I've been actually recording drums (which is weird considering I'm a drummer), so if you need any help with MIDI, let me know.
I can suggest something even better. I can do a drum track for you and send it to you. You'd have to put the bass, guitars and vocals on top of it. Because the drums are holding this back from being a great version. Let me know if you want a drum track, I'll gladly do it.

thanks man! that would be awesome. Im not sure how to go about starting it though. Do you want the midi file? I use Sonar 3 Pro and the file is stored now as a cwp I believe. Let me know what you would need. I host like 5 websites so I have plenty of space to upload things.

It depends if you want to re-do your tracks or not...For me the easiest thing would be for me to just do the drum track on my own, send it to you, and have you record everything on top. Besides that, I'm not sure. I can play along with this MP3, and then send you the drum track, which we know would be the right speed since I played along to it. But then I still don't know how easy it would be to sync it up after. I've only done this kind of thing a few times over the internet, and I was always the one doing the first track, so I don't know any other way. Let me know what you think

Whatever Is easier for you Rami,

I can redo the tracks no prob..........How would you sync up the strings and stuff with your drum tracks though?

anyone want to play bass on this??
 
Nice!I would back off on the delay on the vocal,or make it a slightly quicker delay!

Guitar tone is from my POD XT...........used a Floyd Live Setting that i got off the line 6 site. Then I cheated and used a waves doubler plug-in (cause I couldn't play the end solo twice the same way lol)

I used my Les Paul for this, but I do have a strat with Gilmour EMG's (battery is dead). I might have to brake the strat out for this next time!

Oh, I thought it was only the drums and maybe bass that were MIDI. In that case, I'm not sure. It must just be some padding on strings, I'm sure SOMEONE can do that in real time. Maybe we can get a whole collab going here, change it to "Comfirtably Dumb" and send it to Mystery Records!!!
 
Cool song. I really like this, and your version is done very well. Sounds are very good.
