The quality of the recording wasn't up to par with the performance, A ... so for what it was in context (a home movie, essentially) --- from that perspective, the lack of quality of sound is "let slide".
If we were to step out of home movie mode and comment on the sound itself -- if that was the focus (this is a recording bbs, after all), then discussion wouldn't turn to how well you performed, it would be more centered on the sound of the sound of the production -- which didn't appear to be your focus -- and so that discussion isn't made.
What this looks and sounds a bit like is something that was simply a snapshot of a moment, whatever natural inherent flaws may have occurred while doing it. (a.k.a. by no means perfect or the best you thought you could do.)
