I have posted a song called Flatline at http://www.mp3.com/glikk that I would really love some feedback on. The intro is a little long, so be patient... but I would specifically like some info on how to get the kick sounding a little more powerful. It already has a lot of the low end added, but I would like it to be a little more defined. Also, I would like some feedback on the vocals, or anything about the song in general. I am new to home recording and I need some tips! Thanks!

I remeber your other tune.. I think you said the drums were mixed already.. they don't sound too bad, but that high hat seems louder than the snare.. I don't really have any e.q. suggestions because I am still using a trial and error method.. maybe someone else will be more helpful.. add some crispness to the bass drum if you can.. I like the song if that means anything.. although it started pretty rough.. the guitar performance seems a little off in a few spots..

How could I add some crispness to the kick drum, without messing up the total drum mix. All the drums are on ONE track. Any suggestions???

You're right on the intro :D. It's 1:30 before a vocal comes in.

Decent song.

A little looseness to the performance... wavering harmonies, not so tight entrances and exits of parts.

The guitars have a little crispness to them. I liked some of the lead guit work though. That part at about 4:15 was kind of nice (the same riff comes in again at the end) - it's just too harsh sounding. If it had a nice warm tone to it, it would really rock.

I liked the 'I hate your friends' song better than this one. I didn't understand this one lyrically.

Trip.
