I have a mid file with a drum beat and I'm wanting to open it on FL Studio to fine tune it. It opens the midi fine but I cant get it to play back for me. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong??? Thanks!
 
Try this:

  • Load an instance of the FPC generator.
  • Press Alt+p to bring up the pianoroll.
  • Under the pianoroll's options dropdown(top-left), go file > Import midifile.


That should give you correct playback of midi drums parts. Another thing you could do is insert a Fruity LSD into an fx slot setting the port number to 0 and play the file using a MIDI out generator (setting the channel to ten).
