Do anybody on this board using FL Studio to make beats???

I do, I got some good kits and then use midi to make beats....Great program!

FLstudio is a great program for both beats and midi work. I use it to lay down my drum tracks and bass lines, record as audio, and then bring over to Audition.

Works great. Lots of online resources (tech support, tutorials, etc) to help you out as well.

huh.... I have it but never used it much.... thanks I'll play with it a bit more.

And if you buy the program, you get access to their forums and help boards.

Plus you don't have to post Fruity Loops question in a Cool Edit forum.

All of these are good things. ;)

For all u who do tracks in FL studio. I see that its good for drums.. Where do ya'll go at to add the keyboard sounds in the beat. I got reason 2.5 also just camn in yesterday and i paid $499.99 for it because some one told me that it had triton samples in there... I'm plan on buying me a keyboard but my funds are running a little low right now... I'm looking to buy the Triton Studio 88 key workstation....

There are any number of soft samplers out there. You could try any of the ones from Spectrasonics (Atmosphere, Trilogy) which get great reviews.

Not sure what you're trying to accomplish with the keyboard, but the Triton may be overkill. I have a simple M-Audio midi controller keyboard which does everything I need to lay down keyboard tracks. FLStudio has some good stuff native to it, so you may be able to get by with just FLstudio for now.

If you don't know you betta ask somebody!

I do the majority of my beats in FL (the producer edition) and they're nice with that program alone. If anything you should get more sounds to beef it up alittle and then you should use a midi keyboard to give your self a bit more breathing room in your mix.

Give it a try, you might like it! :)

This is the Cool Edit forum, not the Fruity forum.

Hey if you need some help with fruityloops go to here. I will help you out with your problems or questions. My name is spazic over there!

I own a Korg Trinity Pro. I must tell you I have had it for a couple years, and while expensive it is a great keyboard. I can make some sounds and effects that you have never heard. I really enjoy it and I use it for fl. This keyboard might definatly be a bit overkill. I personally enjoy having the freedom of recording direct from the keyboard using its effects or using midi and some synth program. Either way it is a great investment. I would recommend it!

I usually use fl just to make drum tracks. Then I export and import into Audition.

DON'T BUY THE TRITON OR THE TRINITY!!!! If you buy a keyboard buy the Motif 7 or the 8 better sounds than the Triton and Trinity
