five string bass MEC active pickups...

Just swapped out some pickups and an active circuit in a bass I made a while back for some one. Boy does it make a difference. I'm converted.. Didn't think that it would make a big improvement but it sure has... I'll try and get him to do a soundclip at some point. It was a pain getting the active circuit in the cutaway and also room for the push/pull controls but it all went in. More pics later showing the wiring...

OK a pic of the wiring loom. Not a lot of room in there but it all went in. This thing really punches out now. I'm going to be making one for keeps in the new year.

I've pretty much liked active for bass. Don't care a lot for actives in the guitars I have with it but for bass I really like them.
