Hi all....well I have to say I`m an all around newbie to home recording(literally)..I was wondering if anyone could help me out on this question....My buddies and I have a band and self made practice/recording studio...we are wanting to do some recording but dont have any recording equipment (mixer boards..etc.)all we have is a home computer and or musical equipment..so I guess what I am asking is if there is a good (preferably free) software program good enuff to record through a mic w/out all the recording equip. that we could use to try and cut a half decent promo cd....any advice is very much appreciated...thanx
There are quite a few multi-tracking/recording programs out there. Do a GOOGLE search on [multi-track computer recording] or something like that. One thing you will need however is a quality [interface], something that takes the mic input and transfers it cleanly into the computer program.
