Sounds like you got a new synth and put every sound into this tune. The flute thing was cool but everything else kinda just happened. Keep up the good work.

But don't pay any attention to me because...
I have no clue what I'm talking about.

(that kinda sounded like something from another thread that just got busted by Waldo)

Most of the background sounds were fine. The one thing that stood out was that one keyboard part sounded way out of tune. Not sure what was up with that.

keyboards rule!

the sound quality of the recording was good, but it was hard to get through the whole thing man.. the solo sound wasn't hitting mainly because it sounded out of tune.. the flute sounded good, but the rest seemed a bit repetitive seemed a bit repetitive.. Good start though, keep it up!

bang! off to a good start. good recording. the material didnt turn me on but I liked how well it was recorded.

Are you trying to give it that oriental touch with that phrasing and the slight detuning? That's what I'm getting from you anyway?

Nice recording. It's a slow mover though.

Good job

Thanks for all the feedback. It's all very helpful. Hmmmm.....I didn't realize the piano I used was out of tune, so that's a good thing for my ear to become aware of. I used Aldo's pianito that I downloaded on to my pc for the keyboard sounds. And that's wierd it would be out of tune. I was trying to go for that Oriental flavor so I guess the wierd tuning worked somewhat to get that across.

I've got nothing to say, except for two huge thumbs up for (excuse me, I just have to say this)....

...the lovely bunch of people around here! Despite the fact that you have a lot to learn Jazzybluez (let's not beat around the bush here), these people didn't burn you down (as people sometimes do on other boards). Instead they are all very nice, very thoughtful and motivating!

In other words: Homerecording.com rocks!

O, and one special thumb up (eek, I'm running out of thumbs :) ) for mr. Rustyfingers, for reviewing every single song a newbie posts (without considering post/review counts). A admirable attitude.
