Indeedy do. Best tune I've heard in weeks. Ten years ago, I'd've said rein in that big guitar a touch, but I love it.

No suggestions on an earbud listen. I'm looking forward to listening to this one on the big speakers when I get back home in two weeks.

Good work, man. Glad you're back.

Great Job ! Those were some radical mood altering changeups that worked Well .. Really enjoyed the vox. enjoyed it .. ms

Nice! Performances sound solid. Production is excellent. Enjoyed that, well done. :thumbs up:

I like being knocked off balance once in a while. Refreshing.

I thought this was really good.

Vocal sound and performances were excellent. Liked the breathy backing vox.

Drums sound great. Except the kick is a little woofy.

The guitars that kick in at 1:54 sound terrific.

The bass has great articulation of the notes. Perfect.

What do you mean when you say "this is all ai"? The song was written by AI? Or something else? Just curious.

dobro: Thank you for checking it out. Let me know how it translates on your bigger speakers. You're familiar with the music I do, and I appreciate your insight. I hope you are on a vacation or something, and if so, enjoy!

DM60: Comment appreciated, thanks!

mark skinner: Thanks for the listen and feedback. The song does kinda go all over the place. Vocals are a real battle for me, so I'm glad you enjoyed them, means a lot to me.

PorterhouseMusic: Glad the production hangs together. Appreciate the listen.

TripleM: Agree on the kick, I thought it seemed a little buried. I'll see if it can be defined a bit better in the next mix.

The AI comment was my lame attempt at humor. There is no AI in this. It was discussed in another thread about posting 'the process' a bit more, as to what equipment was used to record it, who recorded it etc. https://homerecording.com/bbs/threads/i-hope-its-ok-that-i-make-this-point.430279/ A very interesting discussion.

Thanks for the listen!

^ This^

I think a singer does themself a huge favor when they find out what and how they sing best, and then milk it until they can call themselves a dairy.
Nicely stated.

I really enjoyed listening to this tune.
Love the sound of your bassguitar.

Nicely done. Took me on a variety on sonic soundscapes. Love the backing vocals around 1:12. Kept it very interesting to listen to and great production. Love the instrumentation leading into the heavy part.

La9: Thank you for checking it out. I recently got that particular bass guitar setup, and it plays much better. (80's Fender Jazz).

keano12: Appreciate you taking the time to listen to it. I do like adding backup vocals, especially when they are not me. Adds some variation.

I'd put this into the 'pleasant cruisy tune' bracket and the the changeup at 2.00 hit. Very cool, great groove. Vocals & drums spot on.
Quite old school too, don't get to hear much like nowadays

Finally got to the big speakers tonight. So I decided to listen some good stuff.

The bvs can come up 1 dB on their first sung line (but not the second). Levels are perfect for me - everything gets heard and sets the state for the strong guitar segments.
Piano can come up a dB if you like. But damn! that third verse - nice. So bluesy. Big guitar's perfect. Yeah, good mix, Em. Outro bvs delicious. Some kind of Major7th last chord. You thought of everything. 8-)

Bulls Hit: Thanks so much for the listen. I grew up listening to what my brother listened to, who is 10 years older. So, it was mostly Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple and lots of other stuff from the 70's. That might be the old school influences.

Papanate: Thank you for checking this one out. Your comments on the last song were noted and appreciated. I have not got back to it, to give another try on the vocals but hope to soon. I'm trying to put together an 'album' of maybe 10 songs. Once I get them mostly there, I'll review them all and hopefully address what needs to be adjusted from the valuable feedback provided.

dobro: Always appreciate your feedback dobro. The 1dB adjustments can make a difference for sure. I thought the guitars might be too loud, but nobody has mentioned that. I may adjust their tonality a tiny bit. Thanks for the follow up on your big speakers.
