Hey yall, I'm juuuust getting started and I was wondering if the MXL 990/991 were good versatile starter mics for computer based recording through a USB recording interface for a broad range of vocals and a broad range of acoustic stringed instrument recording.

all it says is "Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms." lol sorry! Is there any way you could copy and paste the info? Thanks

Huh- worked before. I just searched MXL. There are multiple threads about these mics on just the first three pages of this forum, including a 990 review with over 100 replies. :)

Well, I'll just throw it out there. For someone just starting, recording off of a laptop with a USB audio interface who wants a decent condenser that'll sound good on a variety of vocal sources and maybe even some acoustic instruments...what's a good mic? I'll be recording bluegrass and southern gospel/country. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!!!

what about the AT 2020 and the AT 4051? would that be a good combo buy?

By the way: I'm not sure about that model number on the second mic...
