hey guys. Im new to the forum and i have basic recording experience with a direct input to my old sound blaster live card and cool edit pro. Ive decided that i would like to go with the pci setup of the delta 44. The question i have is what else do i need besides the delta? I have a gt8 processor i use mainly for the preamps, but what else would i need to record my marshall through an sm57? would i still need a type of preamp for this? which would be good preamp for a decent price? Ive heard people mention a direct box? (not sure what that is or does) and is there any other basic things i would need. Thanks so much in advance.
