First Recording Ever!!! Need tons of feedback and tips...

Hey hey

My band F.A.T and I recently bought a Tascam 414mkii 4 track and we recorded our first song... we're only 15 so we dont know much bout mixing, but some constructive criticism is great.

We play pop punk similar to that of Blink 182... please tell me what you think

I really dug your song,give me an upbeat song with a sense of humor anytime,(aint we all gettin dumber).

I liked the positive attitude of your mp3 site too,thats the way to attract listeners.

You said you wanted constructive criticism so,your timings a little off and couldn't really hear the drums,but cool otherwise.
(Damm I wish I would have started recording when I was 15)

well allright..

Since I was a big fan of 'The Surf Punks" and "The Ramones",
I couldn't help but like this song. And I always like a good 2 minute pop song, so...

My only complaint is the AWOL Drums. This song would pack a wallop if the Drums could be brought up more in the mix.
The Bass could be cranked a little more too, but it's ok.
What stood out to me was the Lead Vocalist has just about a perfect voice for this type of tune. I hear the smartass in his voice loud & clear.

Post another tune soon, this made me grin!

drums...

We noticed the soft drums issue also, but for some reason (laziness probably) we didnt re-record it. We found out the drums were too soft when it was too late... after we bounced the tracks and already recorded over a few of the tracks that got bounced.
