Without offering up too many excuses, here is a short acoustic tune submitted to the whipping post. It's my first attempt at multi tracking the lead. If I get any possitive remarks, maybe I'll redo it, as I'm sure I can clean it up and cut the file size in half.Thanks. http://www.nowhereradio.com/attaboy/singlesI realize the recording itself is not too good, I guess Im more interested in comments about the content.....also, please use lo-fi .

Welcome MS

Most newbie stuff I listen to is sooo bad I don't get thru more than a minute. With this, I would have liked you to expand on the theme.
You kept pretty good time.
Do you use a click track?
Read and listen to a lot of music here and you will learn more.
This is really quite good, I look forward to future submissions.

Hevy, I appreciate your comments and advice. I plan on making this forum a frequent stop and will take care to make future efforts worthy of posting. I didn't use anything for keeping time, but I agree I should use something in the future. I think I have a metronome on my sound editor. Thanks!

Hello Monkey!

Yep, nice tune. this is just CRYING OUT for a vocal. Get a girl to sing something sweet over the top, and you're in business. (OK, maybe that's not where you want to go with it, but it woulsd sound great).

Keep at it.

Cheers,
Mscmln.

PS The recording ain't THAT bad - just make sure you mute out anything that's not playing, to keep the noise to a minimum.

very nice tracking. Good capture on the guitar. your ready to expand..

Thanks guys!

Thanks a lot for taking the time guys ! It's great to hear possitive things from other musicians, my day just got better. I agree chameleon, as a matter of fact my old band featured a female lead singer and I am hoping to recruit her sister for some vocals, who also has a great voice and plays drums ( and is the spitting image of Avril Lavingne-I swear! ). I look forward to checking out what you all are doing, and learning about recording. Thanks!
