In agreement with the everlast feat. santana vibe

my observations

1. Acoustic guitar needs to be touched up. I get the sense it was recorded in a poor room acoustically. Needs more body. Not sure if that's verb, chorus, eq or all 3.

2. Electric guitar licks are great. A couple are a bit off beat, need retracking on a few.

3. Harmony vocals need retracking too as they waver in key a bit at times.

Huge potential in song, retracking and remixing will help attain that. Take it easy.

auburncatfish- Yeah it was definately recorded in a bad room. I agree that with a bit of eq'ing or something it could scrub up a bit. I am thinking about retracking vocals as i have much better gear now..but somehow i dont think i could. It was about 2 years ago and my voice has changed a lot...i'll give it a try though.

Pedullist - Thanks man..much appreciated.

M.Brane- 1975, hmm ok...must've been an Eagles song then! :)

Actually my first recording had no music to speak of, just me and a couple of my friends having fun with the folks new stereo. I'd only been playin guitar for a couple years.

I was into the Beatles, Kiss and Black Sabbath at that point.:D

Didn't start recording music until I was in junior-high school.

First recording! Ive been doing this for over a year and still cant get something that together.:( :o  Theres a few things which could use adjustment but they are mentioned above. Maybe tone down the panning a bit.

Peace
Bill

Ahh black sabbath..if they cant get you playing who can! Although..it seems strange to me..but out of all the bands i was brought up on and listen to..my music doesnt seem to be influenced by them. Maybe sub-consiencely i'm taking little ideas from here and there but out of all the songs i write i wouldnt be able to say..ah yeah, sounds like a Faith no more song!

Don't feel bad Bill. I've been doing it for almost 30, and I still can't get it together!

:D

dude

Hey man. I really thought this was groovy. I think the guitar sounds great and the vocals are the money. Very deep man. I like the drums becasue they sound like this, it would be awsome for a real set to just fade in after the intro. I like the vocals at 290 ish. Nice one mate, cheers.

Erland..thanks for your kind words. I'm stoked you thought my vocals were alright! It was my first time recording myself so i was very nervous. Its the one thing i worry about on every song.
