Hello to all, this is my first post on these forums. I am looking for some advice on my first multi tracked recording that I've done all myself. It is a short intro track to a zombie web series that is coming soon. I need some advice and everything.

The drums were origonally recorded into my presonus firestudio then transfered into protools where I recorded everything through my tampa into the mbox 2.

Let me know what you think:

LOL!!

"WOOZSH DOOGA WOOOZSH!" Love the lyric. :^)

Curious contrast...the sweet chick voices and the cookie monster...smash bang bells sturm und drang. Kinda cool. Soundtrack quality. A norrow application...but I liked it. Musta been fun recording it. Is it meant to be sort of comedic??

Haha Thanks for your reply. I'm glad to hear it's enough quality. As for the track idea, It fit the flow of the video for the 30 second intro, and it was ment to be of B movie/modern chees ball horror, yet still quality enough for a series.

I origonally had it with just my vocals, then I got my fiance to throw the others after I realized it was just lame. That is my attemp to make it cheesy and no longer lame.

Listened to it 10 times now, it's just got me terribly confused. Maybe it's just finished. In case it isn't, here's my two cents. First couple of times I didn't agree with the sound of the piano. Especially the C was offending me. That seems to have gone now but it's still worth noting. The slam is very well done, breaking dam and all that. Bass drum is a bit too pointy for me, but some people like that high squeak on a bass drum. Nice crunch on the guitar. The grunt is a bit too pronounced, kind of floats on top instead of being wrapped in the noise. The female voices on the other hand sit nicely. A bit too much hiss in the outro. I suppose it's on purpose but it's a bit too much reality. I'm thinking the hiss is on the thud track? Still very confused.

Damn, I definatly don't want you confused. It is just finished indeed, I recorded and mixed it all 2 days ago. That's why I am on here, to get opinions on what to fix and possibly how to go about doing it if I can't figure it out. I can definatly null down the hiss on the thud track. I just didn't want it completely quiet with the title.

It is alot thrown into a short amount of time, and especially listening to it over again it can throw your head for a loop.

I appreciate the input.

Guitars are nice.
Kit sounds good.
Female voice is awesome.
The primary vocal is sitting out a way too far in the front.
The hiss is too loud.

My two cents. :)

Pretty cool. I like the abrupt transition.

I agree with singlespeak about the piano tone. It sounds kind of like a bad synth.

I'd also scale back the fuzzy/clicky noise in the intro.

The kick is kind of weird too. It sounds more like someone tapping a microphone than a drum.

Overall, it's a fun song though.

Is this an art project? I like the genre mashup idea, but musically it doesn't work for me at all.
