Really looking forward to comments.. the original was VERY rushed by the way.

Give that man somthing to cool his throat... Quick!

Seriously though. One thing I notice right out of the chute is that the female vocal is bass heavy compared to the male vocal.

I will listen again and maybe have a bit more input?

Uhh..there's no female vocals in there.. that's the same guy.. screaming. :)

I meant the response vocal (the non-scream parts on the chorus). That is a guy too? Whoops! My mistake. There is such a contrast sonically between the two.

Yup.. same guy. :) Vocals were done in many takes in one night.. horribly inconsistent.. I've done my best to even them out though.

I'm sorry but I could barely sit through that. Not my cup of tea. But anyways, those response vocals need help, serious help. The screaming ones at least sound well executed (even though I don't like them). The response ones sound like a completely untrained for singing 6 year old girl.

Yes I know.. unfortunately we had no time. He wrote the vocal parts the night before, no chance to practice them with the band. I was flying back to Toronto the next day, so we had to go go go. Anyways.. yes, they're pretty brutal.. but we needed SOMETHING recorded.. looking forward to retracking everything this summer.

At the beginning it sounds like the dude is "hiding" his voice or something. Like his parents are in the other room and he wants to sound heavy and mean but don't want his parents to hear him.

Understand that? No disrespect to the band or anything, just the best way I could describe it.
