Hey guys. Today I finished recording a song for one of my friends. I have never recored an acoustic piano before, so I just gave it my best shot. Thanks for any input

I really like the song, but i think the vocals need work.

I like the take just fine, but it sounds like it was tracked and then nothing done.

Maybe that's what you're going for but I'd want the voice to be fuller and stronger sounding, and maybe a little verby.

I think (listening from crappy desktop dell speakers) the guitar needs turned up, the vocals are over top the guitar a lot. Maybe some compression on the vox to help even it out for a more consistent mix?

The vocals are dry and a bit too loud as compared to the rest. Piano worked out okay though AFAICS. The girl has a nice familiar but still unique voice. A tiny bit pitchy but nothing major. Almost like Cindi Lauper with the high range. Minor tweaks for me would make this perfect...it`s pretty close....

I purposely left it just a little bit off. It's for her boyfriend for Christmas and I felt the slight pitch problems made it a little more personal.
